Lead Software Engineer - Games Studio

DraftKings is growing quickly and we’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help establish and lead a team-centered around the mission of providing a best-in-class experience for our customers. This position requires strong technical skills and a bias toward collaboration. You will be working across teams, informing business decisions, and helping to expand our enterprise software platform.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the development of the next generation of our core game engine.

• Develop pipeline improvements that reduce costs and time requirements for maintaining existing products and building new games.

• Create tools and systems that enhance ability to debug, test, and react to customer feedback.

• Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure that their individual product needs are met.

• Lead a team of engineers to success, providing visibility and ensuring timely delivery of projects.

• Introduce fresh ideas and bring innovative solutions to the table.

• Demonstrate strong communication skills and an ability to mentor and grow others.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 6+ Experience with designing, developing and maintaining game platform technology integrated into multiple products.

• Experience with optimizing realtime visual applications.

• Ability to maintain and bring innovation to a modern and rapidly growing art integration pipeline and toolset.

• Ability to lead by example through coding best practices and time management.

• Familiarity across one or more languages or similar: C#, Javascript, Typescript, Python, HTML5, CSS.

• Familiarity with Unity or other game engines and tools.

• A passion for making and working with games.

• Mobile / web development experience strongly preferred.
